Jaiden first got into Hatsune Miku in high school. As she describes in a video about her obsession with the iconic Vocaloid artist, it was some of the only music she truly connected with. She even made a PowerPoint presentation on hologram concerts and the future of live music for her English class, mostly as an excuse to rave about Hatsune Miku. Last year, she had a chance to attend a Hatsune Miku concert in Japan and experience the world of glowsticks, lazers, and futuristic spectacle firsthand.

It’s a story familiar to many artists and fans who felt like they never quite fit in. People are drawn to Hatsune Miku and Vocaloid music for its instrumental focus, counter culture community, and abundance of collectibles that includes the many Miku figurines Jaiden herself has collected.

Now Jaiden is showing her appreciation for that world through a techwear collection inspired by the bright teal tones and glossy futurism of Hatsune Miku. The jacket, tee, and joggers include details like double sleeves, metal jump rings, and buckled webbing cords that balance utility with comfort. She named the collection “Ari-Gatou”, after her pet conure and as a playful thank you to the culture around the Japanese star. Ari himself even features in the collection as a mini keychain plush, wearing a small tech jacket and sunglasses that match the rest of the line.

The collection was produced by Juniper Creates, Jaiden’s merchandise partner since 2024, which enjoyed the opportunity to develop the feature-rich apparel. “We saw huge potential for a Hatsune Miku inspired collection for Jaiden before we even started officially working together,” said Geoffrey Hill, Senior Brand Strategist at Juniper. “This was one of the first projects I researched at Juniper, and I’m so happy to see it go out into the world.”

Jaiden previously incorporated her Miku influence into her VTuber model, which featured techwear elements with futuristic accents. The new collection translates that look into real products that her community can make a part of their own lives.

The Ari-Gatou collection is available on the Jaiden Animations shop until May 4.
