Wendigoon invites you to touch grass with Americana-themed camping collection

Isaiah Mark Nichols, known online as Wendigoon, has launched a new capsule collection inspired by the great outdoors and the tales that emerge around the campfire. This Americana-themed drop blends camping style with the cryptids and conspiracies examined in Wendigoon’s videos.

Branded as “Camp Wendigoon,” the collection includes cargo pants with brass hardware and camo-lined pockets, a corduroy 5-panel camper hat, and a “Camp Staff” tee featuring raised printing for a textured look. The collection also includes a plush toy of a Squonk, wearing a camo bandana and its own corduroy camper hat.

The Squonk has been a part of American folklore since the early 20th century. This melancholic cryptid is noted for dissolving into a puddle of tears when frightened, a piece of lore that is depicted on the plush toy with an embroidered tear. In this collection, the Squonk is reimagined in a playful and endearing way, with the minature apparel perhaps suggesting that it is being recruited into the cryptid-sighting adventure, adding a touch of absurdity to the adventure.

The collection is available on the Wendigoon shop until March 22.
